Have a problem with the Asset Manager and the file size. I open some websites with a video hero (for example: www.flissu-fke.de), the file size of the video is about 4-5 mb. In the new Asset Manager I can’t add a new video with the same file size.
The second problem: I have two files with the same filename, but different extensions (.jpg, .mp4). I can’t refresh nor remove these assets.
There are no limits for videos or gifs. How do you add the asset when the warning appears?
Remember Blocs only supports mp4 video files.
Try restarting Blocs and then removing the assets when the project file first loads. Other than that, try renaming no the files then from the missing asset window right click and remove them.
I’m fine using MP4 and support seems to be widespread. Can I use... Support tables for HTML5, CSS3, etc
Is there any real call for other formats these days like ogg or webm? Is it ever likely that we might need to incorporate flash these days? I know some sites still like it as a means of protecting their content. I deliberately uninstalled flash player on my Mac.
I restart Blocs, I restart the Mac, no MP4 file is in the Asset Manager.
Now next day the files are visible! I try a new video (MP4, 6 MB) and its the same problem, the new file doesn’t appear. I will wait for tomorrow …

How are you adding videos? Dragging them in or using the + button?
I got a pop up or a warning about the file size. And I have used + button.
Now, after some minutes and a Blocs restart, the video file is in the asset manager, but the individual groups are gone.

Ok, I’ll see if I can replicate the issue at my end. Out of interest what is the video file called and is it hosted on your main HD, a server, iCloud/Dropbox or an external HD?

I tried it with four files, called: IMG_0008_2 Kopie.mp4 (6.5 MB), Comfy_video.mp4 (4.6 MB), Comfy_.mp4 (4.6 MB) and Flissu_start_kurz.mp4 (4.2 MB). Those files are stored in a MacPro, the file IMG_0008_2 Kopie on the main SSD, the three other files on a second SSD. System 10.11.6
Which ones didn’t load correctly the external drive ones?
