About expansion and contraction of images

Why can’t it expand and contract stably?
Even if the width is changed, the vertical value is not changed.

If you size the image container on screen, the image will resize proportionately, and you will see the display dimensions in the properties panel. You will also note that blocs creates a custom class when you resize the image. If you then manually enter a width for the image, it will still resize proportionately again. However, it won’t display the new height in the properties panel - it’s new proportional dimensions will display under the image Like this:

If you absolutely need to see the display dimensions in the properties panel, use the image resize handle to update the displayed dimensions in the properties panel.

once you resize manually with the resize handle, the custom class that blocs creates takes over. This means that if you subsequently enter a height, the image will distort as the new dimension will be added to the custom class.

The best way to deal with this is to use one or other method of resizing if you want to maintain the correct proportions of the image. If you start mixing one resize method with the other, you will get squashed or stretched images.
