Adding blocs to library in B3

When a user defined bloc is “Added to Library”, is it saved in the open project file or saved in Blocs 3 itself, so that it can be used in other projects?

It’s stored in library. Custom blocs are not project specific.

Perfect. Thanks

If you take a look in application support, you will see they are also separated from the core-blocs, so you are doubly protected and there is little chance of them being lost.

That’s interesting and really good to know.

I just try to copy this folder and paste it on my MacBook, and it simply works there as well, what a nice way to share with others  @Eldar : time for a new domain name :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

In theory it might even be possible to sync that data via iCloud.

I think the sharing of blocs and brics is going to grow into a huge and powerful feature in Blocs3

This could be huge for Blocs.

@Norm I think it would be nice if Norm could add a new section in the Bloc pop up menu called “Custom”. It would allow users to keep them together in a separate area.

Or maybe, to be able to create your own
group names

Oh, I like that even better.

I make a point of naming them as custom.
