Hey everyone,
Maybe my lack of experience is at play here but… wondering if anyone has a simple way to get the alt text populated. I’ve done extensive work with the tags on a current projects photos (adding the tags to each pic) but none seem to make it into Blocs. It’d be nice to see some auto populate features for the alt tags.
If I totally missed it let me know!

Are you talking about a HTML site built with Blocs or a WordPress theme built with Blocs Plus?
In case of a HTML site:
You’ll need to enter the ALT text in Blocs itself, as you can see below.
In case you’re talking about a WordPress theme built with Blocs Plus:
Here you’ll need to enter the alt text in WordPress itself, during (or after) uploading the image file into WordPress. See below.

I think the misconception comes from @Tempest expectation, that alt tags will be imported from a photo’s meta information.
This is currently not the case. Alt tags have to be entered manually for each image.
Thank you both for the info! I’ve not created a WP theme yet, it’s on the list of todo’s and see what the process is. TomS2 is correct though, I was hoping that the alt txt would/could be auto populated from the photo meta or even the file name. It’d be a great feature and I would think could save us a painful step in optimizing a site.
