@Norm , i think i may have found a bug. i use a scrolling text Marquee on my website, but i cannot type normally in the ‘content settings’ as soon as i start to type it ‘deselects’ the box after a couple of letters, so i have to keep clicking into the box to add more letters. the way i haev found to get around it is to type in word then copy and paste, but this is far from ideal.
We’re is the text field located? In the inspector?
yes indeed, in the inspector
same here, when in a sentence a couple of words are wrapped in span, it is impossible to edit it, there is no cursor and 2-3 letters can be corrected, then again you need to click on span to continue editing.
This also happens when you edit the COMPANY label in the default navigation. I have to edit the name in Inspector. Doing it directly from the canvas deselects the box after typing one or two characters.
Another bugs : If you apply a mask to the photo and then apply animation on it, it doesn’t work properly.
Try wrapping the image in a div and applying the animation to that.
@Norm I’ve just updated to Bloc 6 and I`m working with Sequoia 15.0.1
Just wrapped one image (with mask) in a div but the image isn’t shown in preview mode.
You will need to put the image with the mask applied to it, inside a div, and apply the animation to the div not the image, check out my example.
Mask Animation.bloc (32.4 KB)
This works for me.
@Norm I use Sequoia 15.1.1 m1 and m2 mac’s
That’s it. Works fine. Thanks for support.
Interesting, many of the beta testers used the same OS and this has never come up. I’m currently on 15.2 and its naturally all fine .
I’ll DM you so I can investigate it further.
No problem here with OS 15.2 beta
M3 Sequoia 15.1.1
Animation div works when applied
Hi Both, sorry to ping you both, but im sure whose issue it is. as well as the ‘marquee scroll’ issue and challenge with scrolling text. when using anyvideo bric, i get jumps on the inspector resulting in the inability to add the correct Youtube link and i struggled adding a ‘poster’ to it.
hopefully you can see what i mean by the youtube link above.
Im going to have to go back to Blocs 5 now, i dont have the time sadly to dedicate working around these issues hopefully the migration to blocs 6 hasnt caused an issue with the brics in Blocs 5
That’s not the Bric, that’s Blocs, it looks like some kind of keyboard event becoming stuck.
Which version of MacOS are you using?
Right now this odd keyboard input issue is limited to 2 users in this thread, but it’s not clear if you both are experiencing the same issue.
Out of interest, do you have any third party software that would interfere with keyboard events.
In Blocs 6, if you edit the label of a standard button Bric, using the text field in the sidebar inspector do you get the odd jumping issue?
Hi,
Im running Sequoia 15.1.1,
i dont think i have any 3rd party software that would interfere with keyboard events, im a pretty basic person so nothing fancy going on.
no the labels on the buttons work as expected, no jumping and nothing that looks out of place.
If you create a new project and add the marquee Bric, do you get the same issue in a totally fresh project, when editing the text of the marquee?
