Hi Blocs gang ![]()
This morning I delivered another high-profile LIVE stream website for a well known UK bedroom furniture designer and installer. I can’t name the company, but let’s just say the site looked pretty “Sharp” !!
The power and flexibility of Blocs allowed me to build and launch the site quickly, despite an extremely tight deadline as I received the final assets just one week before the live stream, which attracted up to 260 viewers.
The Website & Tools Used
The brief was for a clean, simple, easy-to-navigate three page site featuring a welcome message and presenter profiles and stream with Q&A box to the side for people to ask questions.
For speed and consistency, I returned to my old favourite, Card Designer. It was perfect for showcasing presenters, with buttons triggering modals containing additional profile information. This kept the main layout clean, focused, and fully on-brand.
I also used the brilliant Countdown Plus by @Boss81 Although I have other ways of implementing timers, his solution integrates beautifully with Blocs. Styling fonts and sizes was straightforward, it performed flawlessly on mobile, and I set it to automatically disappear once the countdown reached zero was just perfect and will use it as my go to timer - check out the link.
Registration
I can’t praise this developer highly enough, and I won’t stop doing so! I was once accused from an ex forum user of being on commission for recommending his services… I’m not. I simply recommend tools that work exceptionally well with Blocs. Thats Adrian from Vibralogix / SiteLok
The client wanted a very simple login system, just enough to see how many users had logged in to watch the stream.
Nothing complicated but I wanted it to work different with buttons that change so I added “Register” buttons at both the top and bottom of the homepage. Users entered their name and a few details, then were directed straight to the live stream page.
Here’s where it gets clever:
Once logged in, if users returned to the homepage, the “Register” button automatically disappears and was replaced by a “Live Stream” button to change the look of the site - Thanks to Adrian for his help on this and they offer so much more which work great with Blocs, check his website out.
The ability to dynamically change page elements based on login status, combined with timers and conditional content, really highlights the sheer flexibility of what @Norm and @Helen and the Blocs team have built by giving us so many options to build sites - brilliant!

Finally, a shout-out to @Eldar for his knowledge and tutorial videos over the years, they’ve definitely shaped the way I work with Blocs, your always there to help me when my brain has a brain freeze! And using your tutorials as a video manual is great and recommend anyone reading this to subscribe to his services : Blocsmaster
Apologies for the long post! I suppose my reason for sharing isn’t just about the site itself, but about the collective talent and support within this community and using Blocs and the great news is……it’s getting even better!!!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
