I’ve downloaded Blocs 6. I want to try the trial version because I’’m working on an older Imac running Monterey and before I buy the app I want to make sure I can use it on this computer. Any suggestions how to get the downloaded app to start? I also would like it to open a previous website created in Blocs 2.6 but no luck getting past the downloaded app.
Previous versions here
Hey what happens when you launch the app?
I think it’s ok now. Just confused from the start up screen–on the right. Nothing seemed to be happening until I selected blank page. Anyway, i think the app will work in Monterey 12.7.6 old Imac –I was able to add nav block and a few other sections to test it, if not, I’ll have to upgrade to + package and download the app to my Macbook Air 2024, but I prefer not to work on a 13 in screen. Thanks for checking is so quickly.
Could you please share a screenshot of what you found confusing?
It’s just me being stupid. I haven’t used Blocs since V2.6 roughly 2017 websites which I later updated by hand. I think those early versions opened with out the various stylized templates offered- just the empty blocs and brics, but now I see that if I select NEW on the first page–right side, then Empty on the next screen it’s all good.
The migration wasn’t going to work as many of the pages had been duplicated/edited outside the blocs app in addition the Blocs 2 app keeps asking for license but when I input it crashes. Again, Please disregard, I will start with a new design using Blocs 6. Thanks.
, it takes me there to the blank ‘start’ of a new site. Please disregard–no problem now.
I also decided today it’s probably best to do a complete rebuild of that old site and not try to migrate to Blocs 6. Thank you.
You can download a copy of Blocs v2 that no longer requires a license number.
In case you want to open your older project for reference.
Ok, thanks
