Hi there!
I would like to have a colored/semi transparent rectangle/field/area between the caption and the underlying picture to optimize the caption’s readability.
Is that possible?

With the carousel text box selected, create a custom class (name it slide-text or similar). In the class editor, switch to the paint brush tab. Click on the colour box to open the standard Mac colour picker. Choose the background colour you would like and then adjust its transparency with the opacity slider. By creating a custom class you can quickly apply the same effect to every text box on every slide by typing in the class name in the properties panel. Just be sure to have the text box selected before applying the class.
