Changes Not Applying When Published

Howdy! I’ve launched my site, but when I make new changes, the site doesn’t apply the new changes. I’ve tried clearing the cache and going in Incognito Mode, but it’s not working. What could be the issue?

Do you have a link to your site?

What is not changing?

Yes. It’s mvfit.com

The font on some headings are not applying. I’ve placed an alert bar at the top, which is not showing, and I’ve removed a link at the bottom of the footer.

We had to soft launch the website because the previous website was having issues (the workplace hasn’t updated their website in over 15 years). So, some elements may be not available or viewable.

I’ve reached out to GoDaddy’s support for solutions to see what the problem could be.

See attached.

GoDaddy instructed I have to wait several hours for the changes to apply. :person_shrugging:

When you published, did you use SFTP if so, did you try choosing publish full site rather than changes.

Is it a caching issue? If GoDaddy say wait a few hours it could be they are caching server output.

I used FTP, as instructed by GoDaddy

Even I clear the cache (both normal and incognito mode), the changes haven’t applied.

Not sure if it would help, but it does not hurt to try.

Are you able to use an FTP app and take a look at the site files on the server? You should be able to check there creation dates, this may show if they are being replaced.

Also are you sure you are uploading to the correct location on your server? Do you have the root set as the FTP path?

Let me check and try. I was thinking about deleting the files on the FTP and uploading it again.

I got it to work! Thanks a bunch!

Sounds like a permission issue?

Oddly, there were two FTP accounts and I just deleted one. GoDaddy had made another account per their instructions.
