Hi, every time I open up Blocs it tells me there’s an update, I open the extension manager, it shows, I click update, it fools me into thinking it’s updating, then it tells me there’s an update!
Only the one Bric. Any thoughts?

Not the solution but a workaround - update the extension here → Image with Text | Blocs Store
Thanks @gp2727 and sorry for the late reply!
Well, this is still on ongoing problem - and possibly not Blocs related, so any thoughts appreciated.
Every time I open up Blocs it tells me there the image with text bric to update, so I update through the programme, next opening, exactly the same.
I did what @gp2727 suggested and downloaded directly from the store, but Blocs crashes everytime I try to update this particular Bric. I must have tried about 20 times now with various restarts of the Mac involved, and the same every time.
It’s not a big deal, but just bugging me now.
What about deleting the Bric from folder structure on the Mac, restart the Mac. Opening Blocs to make sure it doesn’t appear in the list. Then downloading the latest version of the bric and installing it again?
Cheers, I shall try that later today and report back - good call.
It worked! Many thanks, appreciated.
There are two update scenarios regarding Brics.
1. Bric Has Update Available
The actual Bric you have installed has an update available. You get notified about this without a project open. You do that via the Extension Manager.
2. Bric Instance in a Project Requires Updating
When you open a project that contains an outdated instance of a Bric within its contents, you will get this alert. Click the update button that is displayed and take care to save the project before closing it.
Hopefully this helps.
Hi @ Norm. it was scenario #1 that was causing the problem on Blocs startup, and that was the only Bric I’ve had problems with. All others have installed fine, but deleting from the extension manager, restarting Mac and installing again from the newest store download did the trick.
My problem seemed to be with the already installed version being stubborn and refusing to go! Once I had manually deleted it was fine.
Maybe that’s a help for someone in the future, or maybe it was my system being stupid.
