I replied to your support email for Offcanvas Helper about this.
This is actually a feature for accessibility, it converts the toggle to a button tag, rather than a link. You have the option to disable this under the Accessibility settings in Offcanvas Helper though, just untick the “Create Button Tag”. If you keep it as a button, you might need to style the toggle to suit your design requirements as it will inherit some styling.
