How to create a donation button in Blocs?

I’m trying to create a button like the example here so people can donate. My plan B is a link to open a url. But I would like to see how to create something like this on Blocs.

Excuse me, but routing every question here on the forum to the chat doesn’t make sense to me.

I agree.
Unfortunatly I don’t have an answer for Albert.

First you need to evaluate the service you want to use. Either PayPal or any of the other available payment services therefore.

Then you can check of it’s possible to integrate these with a donation button.

I agree…not trying to do that, but the chat today presents an opportunity for a question in real time.

Does the chat has started? Link?

However, a reply here is a reply to all users, now and future.

Is there any assistance available for me even though I missed the chat? I typically rely on this platform to receive solutions when I have free time. Can someone provide guidance on how to access the chat log? Alternatively, providing a video link would be ideal.

I guess no one talked about your issue. Therefore, the forum rules.

Did you read through this?

And people help in their own free time also.

It’s easy enough to build the front end elements like what you want in Blocs, but they have no functionality without the backend or supporting service.

@Jannis has asked some good questions.

Until they get addressed there isn’t anymore help someone can give you.

Ps. Your issue wasn’t addressed in the video chat because you weren’t there to ask it. They are not recorded because it’s focused on community participation. Not everyone can attend all the time and that’s ok, it’s not a forum replacement.

@PeteSharp Sometimes I’m having trouble understanding your tone and intentions. Spanish is my first language, and when I translate your message, it comes across as passive-aggressive. Let me explain in a humble manner: I’m in the process of transitioning from one app to another, and I’m looking to create a donation button for visitors. I posted a request for help, and one of the responses was an invitation to a live stream. Although I couldn’t attend the live stream, my initial post remained open for further assistance, despite the live stream taking place. I apologize if my request for help was perceived in the wrong way. Please confirm if this translation is clear and satisfactory to you. I want to avoid any potential confusion while seeking help with Blocs.

Hi @AlbertKinng, of course, it’s a very multi-cultural forum. Translations never express tone well, actually, it’s the same for any digital correspondence. I do not know you, why would I have a passive aggressive tone? Thats up to you. The same applies, if I am reading something you have translated to English. Often its obvious it’s a translation.

If you want further assistance, you need to answer the questions that have been asked. Please read the thread again if you have missed it.

@Jannis, I’m not quite sure why the payment service is crucial here, especially since it wasn’t necessary with Rapidweaver. But to answer your question, the payment service I plan to use is Stripe. Here’s how I handled it with RW:

  1. Added a form stack and assigned a text block for name input.
  2. Added another text block for the donation amount input.
  3. Set up the button in the form stack as the submit button and configured Google Sheets to collect the name and donation amount.
  4. Used the redirect function to open a pop-up window with the PayPal, Stripe, or other payment service link.

Can I do something similar with Blocs?

Maybe you assumed I was looking for a more complex solution for handling payments or donations, like processing everything on the backend with just one click?

Pete, I said “it comes across” like “it sounds like…” I know there’s no reason to be rude. I answered @Jannis now and I hope I can finally found a way to achieve this here.

Exactly.

Yes. Just follow your steps if it was that simple

I’m sorry, but that is for Rapidweaver. I know Rapidweaver to the core. I’m trying to re-design pages in Bloc in order to learn and get an idea of how it works. I didn’t understand your answer. You mean doing the same with Blocs? Or were you joking? Please explain.

@Eldar Could you assist me with this? I’m having trouble understanding the comments, and I’m not sure if they are understanding me either. I just need some guidance.
