Iconic Gallery Categories

Hello

I’m thinking of buying the Iconic Gallery along with the Repository Manager. My question is can I or the gallery create categories without always creating a new page in Blocs?

I would like to offer the customer a website where I build the website and he can then upload pictures himself and influence his structure of the gallery himself. I don’t want him to always depend on me when he, for example, uploads new pictures from an event and I first have to create a new page and integrate the gallery.

Sorry for the question but unfortunately I couldn’t find anything in the tutorials that arrives.

Thank you very much greetings Grischabock

Hi,

Such an event based gallery could be implemented with Volt CMS and the blogging feature, where each post can contain a gallery.

Hello

Oh yes, that’s also an idea. I wasn’t sure if I should also buy Volt CMS, but if that works, then I’ll take both.

Do you have an example of this?

I’ll set up a blog post with an example gallery :+1:

Yes, that would be very nice if that works

Most of the posts now contain a gallery in the bottom:

https://voltdemo.blocsaddons.com/blog/

With this, you have the option of text/image content as the main part of the blog post, followed by a gallery.

Thank you very much for the efforts, I think that fits so perfectly. So a few words can be said about the pictures, followed by the gallery.

Thank you very much then off to the wading basket :muscle:t2:

Nice!!! I had exactly the same idea last week, installed everything in the hope that I could add an iconic gallery to a blog post, but I couldn’t get it to work. When I now look at Janni’s demo page and the blog post, I do see the iconic gallery, but this isn’t a standard option, right? Because in the blog post, you can adjust the style…like flexbox, masonry and the carousel interval…
So if it is a standard option, could you be so kind to explain it how I can do that?

You have the old Bloc Editor bloc, and the new one with the Gallery as additional option. Go to my.paddle.com and re-download the Volt CMS zip. There you will find the new bloc file. Only import this one into Blocs, and replace the old editor with the new one.
