This is not a problem if the padding is set wide, but if it is set narrow, the add button in the bric is often hidden.

In blocs3, the bric window is displayed on the right side, so I was not aware of the problem.

You can re-enable that in the Blocs preferences (last checkbox in the general tab). But agreed, the bric button should be accessible, even a narrower paddings.

You can toggle the add buttons on and off in Blocs v4. The option is in the little box in the bottom left corner of the design canvas.
There are options to turn add buttons on and off when insert elements overlap.
