Is it possible to lock individual blocks 
so that they cannot be edited accidentally? If so, how do I do this?

Not yet, but could be a nice improvement.

That would be great and a very important feature. I work with the software on all end devices, including the iPad. And it’s easy to accidentally touch an element with your finger and then move it. If you can lock this here, similar to the StyleSheets, then this would be a significant added value.
