Where are all the important folders/files located, so I can move them?
(whether they are hidden or not)
Here is the issue my MacBook Pro 16" has a kernel panic user problem. I can no longer login the User where everything is. Such as Apps, Important date and all assets. I made a new Admin user and it works great! I need to move all imperative Folders/Files (even hidden) connected to Blocs. Not to mention everything else, but Blocs first.
I appreciate anyone’s insight. I am not able to work with any project, until I get this under control.
I’m not sure your thread title or post really reveals what you’re trying to accomplish or having trouble with? Is this still residual to your previous assets thread? Or are you still having activation problems from that thread?
New user / non-working user ? You can run your Blocs install across as many users as you want on your machine (like any other app), though that’s regarding managing users in macOS not Blocs.
Again it’s not really clear what you’re talking about or asking here.
Thank you, for replying

I hope that helps.
Nice links
I have tried so many of these with Apple care support. In the end they said take it to the Apple store.
By the way in the un-working User account, even they could not get it to boot to Safe mode.
you cannot simply access the other user account from one user account.
this is intentional and has good reasons. even a newly created user with an identical name and pass has a different UUID internally. it looks the same, but it is not.
if the data is important and you don’t have a backup then I wouldn’t play around too much.
do you get into recovery mode ? there you could try to copy the folder contents in the terminal…
At the Mac Finder—>> Hold down the option key, go to the “GO” menu and open up your “Library”.
Once there scroll down to “Application Support” ---------->then go to Blocs.
You MAY find what your are looking for in that folder.
As mentioned previously I would spend the time resolving the root cause. It’s difficult to imagine that Apple support can’t help sort out / fix their own macOS as this event / error is longstanding across a multitude of OS versions.
Anyway, I think regarding locations that is something in @Norm’s dominion if he wishes to disclose those. As there may be reason that everything is not widely public.
Sounds like you really need to manage your backups (Time Machine, Etc.,) better though.
You may want to try this…
Try backing up just the data part of your old User partition to an external drive using Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Doesn’t really matter what application you use.
Then you may be able to access your old Blocs site files in that back up folder.
Just a thought…thinking through stuff I have had to do in the past.
I just want to reiterate resolving the root cause. For example, what if the scenario is your SSD file system is experiencing corruption. In this case just creating a new user and copying over files is only a short term resolution to a bigger problem. I’m not saying thats the case but not diagnosing the root cause is only asking for further potential issues going forward.
Hoping you get it resolved, though I would highly suggest resolving the matter correctly. This suggestion does not seem to be resonating so I’m exiting the conversation.
I think we all get what you mean and what you are saying.
However, having been in a similar situation, my first goal was to get my files back so I can get my site back up.
I absolutely agree with you, that you need to figure out what went wrong.
But sometimes, you just have to get the other stuff back up as quickly as possible. Then you can spend some time seeking the root cause.
