This is very annoying and unpredictable behavior. I cannot understand why my paragraphs turned into un-editable spans?!?
Now, I see this plague is all over my site where I spent already 14 hours creating! I cannot believe this. Somebody please help as this is very very unexpected.
Try right clicking one of the text Brics not the spans within them and selecting clear text formatting.
Other than that I would need a copy of your project so I can see what is going on.
So it turns out that it is absolutely not advisable to set a :700 font as default for the project. Always set regular font, and then cmd+B makes it Bold and it works just fine. If your project font is :700 and you make each paragraph not bold by cmd+B this will put it under span, lock it and actually exports still as a :700 font.
I would actually suggest not using the Command + B to make the bold font. As you said, set the default font to regular (or light if you want), and then, for the font you want to make bold, just add a class (strong or you can make something like bold). And inside this class, adjust the font weight to what you want. Command B will sometimes make the bold font artificially, and it won’t look very clean on the website.
I don’t argue but for 30 years softwares had cmd+B to bold a text so maybe a suggestion fi classes are better, then the app should trigger a class creation when user does cmd+B ![]()
Yes, for sure. I am just sharing my experience with Blocs. I am also using Command B to make a text bold in Word/Pages, but in Blocs it behaves a little bit differently.
