I have paid for the site to be “professionally transferred” However, after yet another setback I have now been told that I need to go to my domain registrar and update the NS records for the domain to point to:
Currently, they aren’t.
I have found both
ns1.canonet.ne.jp
ns2.canonet.ne.jp
in my current provider documentation but can’t either delete/reset them to the siteground ns.
Can somebody please tell me how I may go about this as Groundsite just told me: " I am afraid that this is not something that we can assist you with, as the domain has been registered via a third-party domain registrar.
This is becoming a rather annoying exercise, to say the least.

So as far as I can see, your domain is registred with Japan Registry Services Co., Ltd.
That’s the company that will need to update these NS-records (probably Siteground means the “nameservers”) for you.
