Run Blocs in English irrespective of localisation

Here’s a wish straight from the heart:

Thanks for the localisation (German in my case), but please, please, please make it possible to run Blocs in English even if your system is set in another language. It’s so much easier to follow tutorials, discuss topics in these forums, follow insctructions, etc if you don’t have to inverse-translate menu items, classes and other stuff from the localisation back to English.

A lot of apps (Scrivener or the Affinity apps for instance) have this option in their general preferences. Please consider this, it’s a small change and makes a big difference.

Thank you!

You can do this already, just head to the main app preferences (Blocs v4.2.2)

There is a drop down menu to set the language.

Brilliant! You know why I didn’t find this? I always access app preferences with the keyboard shortcut cmd + , This brings up app preferences in all the apps I use, I neve use the mouse to get there. In Blocs, however, cmd + , brings up the project settings and not the app settings, and I didn’t notice. Maybe it’s worth a thought to re-assign the keyboard shortcut, some users might suffer from the same confusion. Thanks, Norm!
