I’m just here to share something I use now, to check if someone click or use my links.
It calls grabify and consist in the following, lets assume you want to send a job, project, invoice, whatever to your client/colleague and you have your image/document/file in your server or in your cloud, so you create a link to your document, then you go to grabify and you generate a new link and you know exactly if that link was used or not, and by who, when, where, etc.
There you have the link. Even if you need a personal link, or a google link or a jpg or png link you can generate it…
Or off course you can use it for this… 
EDIT: I’m not using it in this links so you’r all safe…
