VAT of $5.28 for upgrading

I am not residing in Europe. Should I still pay the VAT of $5.28 for upgrading?

The order/payment page imposes a VAT of $5.28.

Kindly advise.

Pretty sure this is outwith Blocs/Cazoobi’s control as the VAT will be calculated and handled by the payment processor, who in turn will be following some fairly well defined and complicated VAT rules. That’s why nearly everyone lets their payment processing company handle that.

If you don’t think you have to pay it, then perhaps there is a mechanism somewhere to reclaim that in your country. Either way you will have to pay it first, then reclaim it.

@Hotfox We increased our prices earlier this year which was the first time we have done so in almost 8 years! As @pmjd has said, the VAT is completely out of our control.

Also other countries outside of the EU require VAT for digital product sales.

as it is not a choice from @Norm and @Helen, I never blame them for that I just accept it
