Fairly new Blocs enthusiast here.
For reference, the website I’m seeking help with is www.alfapartners.eu
So I wanted to have a multilingual site.
After perusing the forum, I elected to create an English and French version, with a common home page.
Each is uploaded to the server separately.
Home is in /www, English is in /www/v02/english and French in /www/v02/french
The set up works, except…
I notice weird page paths.
On the web
On the web, the English version is using a strange path.
While the index is ok, the sub pages appear under /v02/english/v02/english/page_name
I can swear I think I did everything all the same between the two versions.
In Blocs
I can’t make sense of the page settings in Blocs.
Indeed, when I look at the path for the French index, it shows as /v02/french/v02/french
And yet on the web it works correctly.
The other French pages don’t show the same path (they show the correct short one).
In the English version, the index has the correct short path, and so do the other pages.
Yet, they show a different path on the web.
This is driving me crazy (and will mess up my SEO I’m sure?..)
What the hell am I missing?

J’ai effectivement 2 sites. 1 en anglais et 1 en français. Le passage de l’un à l’autre s’effectue via le menu déroulant et fonctionne très bien.
A vue d’oeil, ca semble en lien avec avec ton arborescence et/ou tes liens ; et là il m’en faudrait plus pour “diagnostiquer”…
En toute logique, c’est parce que tu as mis des liens (donc dans l’app) pour porter vers les pages version anglaise et fr ; or une fois le site mis en ligne, les pages desquelles tu cliques sur les liens etant deja en v-Engl, s’ajoute alors le meme url en doublon (v02 etc).
Mais la logique ne fait pas tou : )
En admettant qu’il y ait de ça, si tu debutes dans tout ca (url…), je te recommande de privilégier des liens portant vers les pages cf screen plutot que des URL :
Et accessoirement - et ça ne tient qu’à moi - d’eviter les “V02” online comme t’as fais (fais plutot des v_X des dossiers sur ordi et/ou fichiers .blocs, mais ton arborescene doit-etre limpide, small is beautifful, encore plus avec Blocs.app. Sinon tu t’embarques dans un gros bazar d’organisation avec des liens, plus encore si tu les as tous passé en URL (et la chienlit de devoir les revoir un par un pour les renommer au moindre changement de v_x et autres problemes de ce genre…)
Apres, je peux être à coté…
A ta dispo n’hesite pas si besoin (tu peux m’envoyer le .bloc, j’aurais alors pt-etre la rép dans la minute) @+&Welcome
Il y a en effet des liens, notamment depuis la homepage, qui est “autonome”.
La Home page renvoie vers l’url de la version anglaise, et de la version française.
Ce qui est curieux est que cela n’affecte qu’une seule des deux versions, alors que le site me semble “codé / monté” de la même façon.
Sur le v02, je vais essayer de raccourcir en www/, ca sera sans doute mieux pour le référencement.

The following did solve my problem.
I initially started working on versions that each had a landing page.
So one way or another, I must have indicated, in subsequent page settings a path such as “v02/english” or “v02/french”, that eventually remained when I scratched the home page.
What I had to do to correct this is, to change the “index” reference page in “Project settings”, go to that page and modify the path in “Page settings”, then select this page back as index.
You cannot modify the path for the index page while it is selected as index for the site.
Probably makes sense for geeks, I’ll know now
