Blocs for Mac 6.3 is Coming πŸ‘€

Are you implying I don’t need my paid AI account? :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
Will you be putting together a video and or documentation on how to use this?
I have a sense that this will be the most used feature ever in Blocs.

This uses the built in local Foundation Models and Machine Learning Frameworks that are on all Apple Silicon Macs, so yes they are free to use.

(I’m not 100% sure if the Foundation Models are available in all countries yet, but you will need MacOS 26 for most of our new AI features.)

Bummer, my Apple does not have a silicone chip - MacBook Pro - 16” Display with Touch Bar - Intel Core i9 - 32GB RAM Memory - AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB- 1TB SSD

Same here – and a little way off buying new.

Feature 7

We know Image Playground may not offer photo realistic images, but because they are free to generate (Apple Silicon Macs) we thought it would be handy to make it quicker and easier to access them directly in Blocs.

All these features are great, a very progressive app. Great stuff @Norm

Feature 8

As well as generating images with Image Playground, in Blocs for Mac 6.3 you can also quickly and easily adapt an image directly from the Asset Manager.

Will the new find and replace work in the code editor as well?

I’m afraid not. But it’s on the roadmap.

Feature 9

Another small but helpful AI feature coming in Blocs for Mac 6.3 is the ability to generate the SEO page description with a click. All thanks to Apples new on-device Foundation Models (introduced in MacOS 26).

P.S. You can also generate social card descriptions as well.

Please please please ensure that Blocs users can continue to work on macOS Sonoma (14.6 and later): I have no intention, for now, of updating my operating system, with all the hassle that it entails every time, nor of giving Apple thousands more euros for a new Mac. But I do NOT want to give up Blocs! :folded_hands:

No worries :+1:

Feature 10

As you probably already know, MacOS 26 introduced the new on-device AI Foundation Models. Although these models are not as intelligent as other agents such as GPT-5, they are still useful, fairly capable, private and of course free to use.

We think these local models are only going to get better in time, so we have integrated them into the Blocs AI Assistant, making it easy to use them directly within Blocs for Mac 6.3.

Well that wraps up the Blocs for Mac 6.3 feature teasers that we had time to mention.

However, that was just a taster. There are a total of 30 new features to discover in Blocs for Mac 6.3.

A few others worth mentioning quickly are:

New Preview Mode Customisation Settings

Wordpress Secondary Menu Support
