Just over 1 year ago, there was a discussion about getting the Twitter bird icon swapped out for X:

I’ve been watching. Looks like shared links are using the x domain now. Font Awesome 6 has the new logo. Can we get this included @Norm It’s been difficult to judge with such a rolling update

What ever came of that?
