How do you make the Nav Menu have 2 lines of text?
That’s a vague question, as this could look like many things. Also are you using the menu manager? Are you wrapping text or want separate line, are both lines links…. The list goes on.
Often menus on 2 lines are a list of links “li” and with responsive it goes on 2 lines. This implies that you have to visualize on all the stop points. It is better to make it not 2 lines but to group them in a small menu with sub-menus. Often when there are too many menus +7 links I switch the menu to vertical if the design allows it or else to burger so I don’t have responsiveness problems and I have only one menu
I am not sure what it’s called, but this is an example
1 Line - Weight Class
2 Line - Weight
Class
Be like adding <br />
Thanks for your reply. Are you saying to have like a drop-down menu? If so, that’s not really what I’m looking for I just want to have one word at the top and underneath it kind of like a breakpoint a word underneath.
I’m trying to understand the purpose of doing this, the purpose or function. I can’t visualise it. I’m not sure what the purpose of this is, but I can’t see it. I’m talking about a main menu, if it’s a menu in the body it’s something else.
Let’s say I have 2 or more words in the Menu. The problem is it strtetches out too much.
have you tried in css :
text-overflow: ellipsis;
white-space: nowrap;
Thank you, I will try your suggestion.
Interesting @Jerry, got to see if this one works.
I’m sorry I misread your request, I had understood that your menu was on 2 lines and that you wanted to have one line. My solution is to have 1 line without any line breaks. What you don’t want since you want 2 lines on one tab. Take @Jerry’s solution which is correct
