A couple of questions

Hi, I’m currently working on a church website and they’ve asked for 2 things which are (sort of) linked.
There’s a Safeguarding policy section which apparently is quite important and they want a link to it from a homepage button, so there are 2 options, the first being a click to a section on another page (going to the page itself isn’t enough, it has to go to the section). I’ve tried
https://stmichaels-betchworth.uk/resources-and-links/#safeguarding
and this just goes to the page, not the section. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

The other thought was to have the button open up a modal, which works, but it seems as though there’s an overlay on the page once the modal opens, so you can’t scroll or close it.

We’re happy with either option, just need it sorted a bit quickly!

Thanks in advance everyone for any suggestions.

  1. You will need to move the modal outside of where you have it, you could in easy terms, say “it’s trapped”. The modal doesn’t need to be next to the button, just on the page. The modal back-drop is generated dynamically at the bottom of the DOM, so thats why thats not effected by the modal location and displaying correctly.

  2. The scrolling to ID, might have to be a @jannis question, as it seems to be related to volt.

Cheers Pete - that makes sense to me!
Can live without the scroll to # if I can get the modal working tomorrow.

Thanks very much, on that tomorrow.

Great.

Hopefully @jannis will have insight into the other issue. Even though you don’t need it, it could help someone else.
