A link from a list of titles to a specific block on a separate scrolling page

I’m putting a website together for a film festival, and I have a list of films with a standard link to a page with the film information. What I’m trying to do this time, using that same list of films, is link to a block on a scrolling page that displays the film’s information. I’ve scrolled through some of the tips on this page, but I can’t find anything that works if this is actually possible.

Hi @Rattie,
I think you have to set this up slightly differently from a ‘normal’ link to page in the menu.
So on the destination page (say ‘Movies’), make sure each bloc (or specific area) has a unique, understandable ID (say ‘Batman’ for this example).
Set your menu to ‘manual’ rather than automatic and when you click on say “Batman Movie”in your menu, you set it as an external link to the named area/bloc:

linkto: www.mysite/movies#batman (or something similar)

Good luck - if that makes sense.

Thank you for the reply. I’ll give it a go and see how I get on, and let you know what if it worked.

Thank you for the help, but that didn’t work. I’m not trying to link from the menu, sorry if I didn’t make that clear. What I’m trying to do is link to the bloc with the film’s image and synopsis, of which there are six on the page, from the film’s title on a separate page listing all the films playing on that screen throughout the event. I’m trying to cut down the number of pages on this site. There are 86 films in the event, and in the past, each film has had its own separate page

Same scenario pretty much. Choose the film title, make it a link and direct it the same as above.
