Am I alone in having so many crashes?

@Norm

Me again! It’s hopeless. Blocs version 5 is really problematic and I’m spending a lot of time making my new website version. I have more and more crashes and especially when I want to delete an element or a character. I have to keep trying to find ways to solve this problem. In addition, many elements do not appear in the structure mode on the left. The tree structure is incomplete. My texts have attributes in design mode but they do not appear in preview mode, even in Safari.

Am I the only one with so many problems?
Is there an incompatibility with M2 processors? or with Ventura 13.3.1?

I had no problem with version 4. I’m starting to regret this upgrade…

Best thing to do, is submit crash reports to Norm, it does help him track down issues.

I had LOTS of issues moving from Blocs 4 to 5, but that has stabilized for me.
I have an M2 MacBook Air, and Blocs 5 seems to run fine on it, although I am NOT using Ventura on any of my Macs at this time.

Pete is right…you need to send a crash report to Norm.

Yes, I just did it: 25 crashes in 3 hours.

Yeah, that’s not normal. :thinking:

With that many crashes, getting some reports over to Norm should be easy. In my darkest hours after moving from V4 to V5, I never had that many crashes?!?

Are you using the latest beta version of Blocs that contains all of the most up-to-date fixes?

@Norm

I have the same problems with 5.08, 5.05, and 5.1 Beta latest release.

When I says “I have to keep trying to find ways to solve this problem”, I am talking about the fact that I am juggling versions.

Thanks

I’ve just responded to your support ticket, with your project file I’ll delve in and see if I can spot what is up?

@Norm
I have just sent :

  • the full project
  • 2 videos of example crashes with Blocs 5.1
    One that shows a crash when I put italicized text on a bric that does not appear in the structure
    One that shows the presence of attributes on text that do not appear in preview mode or on Safari and other browsers

Thanks

[/quoteI am using Version 5.1.4 and I am having many errors, can you help me, is there a patch or process?

I’m on a Mac Pro Late 2013 (2018) and I have Monterrey installed

Hey, I’ve been experiencing crashes too, ever since installation, and initially thought it was due to third-party utilities. However, while fixing an issue with my modded mechanical keyboard, I had to use my Mac without those utilities for a few hours, and Blocs still kept crashing. Is there a fix for this? I restarted my Mac in safe mode, and it still crashes every time I boot it up. It works fine on the second attempt, but this seems like a problem.

So every time you start blocs up it crashes on the first attempt?

no or only a few crashes here, despite a lot of unnecessary stuff on the machine. You need to describe more precisely…

In my case, yes.
