I am not using Google Fonts on a site I’m building. When I open the Blocs file while offline, I get a message, “Because you don’t currently have an internet connection you wont be able to access Google fonts in your design.”
No problem, I just don’t want Google insinuating itself where it’s not wanted, haha.
My question is whether Blocs is tied into Google somehow even if you don’t invoke it?
FYI, I’m using Blocs v5.2.5 for the Mac. In my [Project Settings] [Typography] page, I have deselected (unchecked) “Enable Google Fonts.” Above that on the same page, I have assigned the only default font available in native Blocs, which is Helvetica, which is perfect for me.
Am I missing something? Do I need to do something else to “kick Google to the curb”? Or is this just a default warning in Blocs, which assumes we all may be enamored with the Google, i.e., so nothing to further disconnect or worry about?
