Blocs and the Avada Theme

I’m looking to rebuild a website that was originally constructed using the Avada theme. It appears that when Blocs loads the simulation data it doesn’t understand the menu created in Avada because despite there being a menu, the WordPress Simulation Data popup shows 0 for menu items. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions about this?

This could have something to do with Avada running a custom walker-class on the menu. I don’t use Avada myself, but I’ve used similar multipurpose themes (X, Divi, BeTheme) and almost all of them stay clear of the default menu-implementation of WordPress, but use their own customized implementation. I don’t really think there’s a way around this at the moment.
