Here is beta build six of Blocs for Mac 6.4, as usual more bug fixes and a few new features.

File Attachments
These are the current hard limits for using file attachments with forms.
• Requires SMTP form server.
• Supported File Formats: PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, HEIC, HEIF, MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, WEBM, ZIP.

Custom Interactions :high_voltage:
This build introduces some useful improvements to custom interaction rules. Almost all of them now support targeting elements using a class (as well as an ID) with the exception of the select tab rule.

Unlike IDs, classes are not reset when you copy or duplicate elements within Blocs, which makes it easier to re-use custom interactions and the things you build with them across multiple pages in a website. A step closer to making Custom Interactions easier to work with between projects.

I’ll refresh my glass music player to take advantage of this very soon.

I’ve also added support to control carousels with custom Interactions, which is pretty cool!

Text Carousels :carousel_horse:
You can now delete the main image in carousel slides, which means you can have text only carousels. I’ve added two new Brics to help get these into your websites quicker (still a bit of work needed on these in Bootstrap 4).

Serious bug in Wordpress export!

Just found a moment to rollout the new file attachment to my contact form. After adjusting my PHP POST max size, everything worked out fine. Great job Norm!

There is one errata that @Norm & @Bill should be aware of. I could get DeSpam to function fine but a couple of the new Spam Protection items in Blocs 6.4 are NOT compatible:

Not Compatible with DeSpam

Honeypot

Security Token

Compatible with DeSpam

Input Timer

…what happens with Honeypot and Security Token, is that you get the normal DeSpam dialog after hitting submit, but the email never goes and there’s no success or error message. It took me a bit to figure this out as I tried various iterations until I could zero-in on the culprits.

Maybe something for one or both of you to document for when 6.4 goes out the door.

P.S. Norm none of this discounts all the great work you did on the Spam Protection items as I think that will help out a great many people. But alas I already own and have rolled out DeSpam so I’m going to keep using it as another human layer of protection. Plus I’ve come to really like it as it simple, cool and nifty in contrast to most ReCAPTA items these day. Heck, yesterday I was logging into Google and they kept giving me super squished nonsense words and I had to go through 3-4 before I found one I could sort of make out but still had to guess about half of the letters. DeSpam on the other hand is so dead simple, it feels like a trivial ask and is sort of fun, in as much as hoops for humans to jump through go.

I cant comment on the DeSpam bric as I have never used it. Testing has been running for over a month now, hopefully Bill will take a look.

My current advice would be, use one or the other, not both (if that works). If you have a site with the error live I could take a look and see if I can spot the cause.

Thank you Norm, for all the great additions and fixes, Blocs just keeps getting better and better. I’m still on Sequoia and waiting for macOS 27. All good here so far.

Still having preview problems in Beta 6 (and 5 and 4 and 3).
Inbuilt preview shows a blank page.

Also do you get the same issues with 6.4 beta 1? (Download beta 1)

I haven’t tried with Beta 1 yet, but now getting this in Chrome:

So the ‘too many redirects’ error is happening through all of my browsers now when previewing.

Just tried your suggestion of Beta 1 and all previews either blank (inbuilt Blocs) or the redirect errors

If you create a totally fresh new project with one of the built in templates do you get the same results?

This is using your Odyssey template. Started in 6.3.3 and worked on through the beta updates. As it’s just my site, I thought it was a one that didn’t matter if it all fell apart.

I exported and uploaded to my hosting package from Beta 6, and that’s throwing up errors also.

Tried opening the same file in tha last stable Blocs, and those previews don’t show either.

I can try recreating again from Odyssey over the next few days and see what happens. Would you like me to start it in Beta 6?
