I’m convinced some of the glitches I’m encountering ( so far 3 sessions with “AI help” for 10 hours and I don’t have a home page one) is due to working on late 2017 Imac with the latest possible OS which is Montery 12.7.6. I purchased blocs and it’s installed there. I do have a macbook Air 2024 but working on 13 in screen is not easy for me. Anyway, I guess it’s time to ditch the old 27 in Imac (been loathe to due to screen size) and get a new Imac.
How do I do the blocs + upgrade on the new computer (not arrived yet) and does the upgrade work also on the laptop as well? or is the + for two macs?? Thanks
You could considerLuna Display by Astropad, a USB-C dongle for your MacBook Air then use a true thunderbolt cable or modern usb-c cable for solid connection to your iMac and use it as a monitor for your laptop. Might be worth a shot or something to look into, you can check their site and support.
I’m a recent (12 months ago) convert from 27” iMac to a MacBook Pro. Love the pro, hated working on the small screen, so I bought myself a £200 27” Dell external monitor. Nothing great about it, nothing wrong with it, and not on par with the Apple screen, but it’s made working waaaaaay better.
The added advantage is that when I can’t be bothered to move a window to the big screen (don’t judge me for that), I’m getting much more used to working on the smaller macbook screen.
So MacBook air and an external monitor may be the way to go.
What are you trying to build with Blocs, do you have an example of a page you are trying to build and maybe some of the tasks you are trying to achieve?
I may be able to help point you in the correct direction.
