I’ve noticed that on pages that have a carousel with other blocs beneath it, you get a glitching effect during the transition from one slide to the next. The content under the carousel blinks and sometimes jumps. However, after the transitions take place for the first time, the glitching stops. So it happens only when you enter a new page and the transition starts.
I’m not going to be a great help here, but yes, I get that also. To minimise the effect, I’m adding either a colour or an image to the Bloc background to disguise it, so it ‘blinks’ the background colour or image.
It’s still there. but a bit less noticeable.
Ideally, if using the fade, you’d like to set an overlap time for the transition, so it doesn’t show. But how!??!?!
Thank you for your input. Well, my site is dark so all my Bloc backgrounds are black and I did that for all Blocs manually. Even tried the black background under the Project Setting but the glitch persists. A google search revealed that it is a Bootstrap 4 problem.
Well I’ve got the same issue since blocs 4.1 before (blocs 4.0 and blocs 3) on the same project it didn’t happen. If I’m not wrong blocs 4.0 was already using Bootstrap 4. So it might be a bug regarding blocs not Bootstrap?. I suggest you send a bug report to @Norm
I have the same issue ! I have a small section on a banner doing a slide show using Carousel and just put a Bloc underneath it and its glitching each time the image changes.
EDIT!!!
I disabled lazy load and now it seems ok. Try that everyone.
Just tried it and the glitching on the page has stopped.
Hi All,
I was just about to post on the same subject when I found this thread.
Yes, I’m having the same problem, with the content under the carousel jumping about until all the slides are loaded.
I will go and try the “no lazy load” solution today, and post again to advise on my outcome.
Meantime, thanks to all for the posts above.
btw. I guess this should be logical to everyone, but if not:
All the pics used in a carousel should have the exact same size, or at least ratio. Different sizes lead to jumping too.
