Help me to answer my question before I buy ?
Do I need to buy 2 license for my Mac lap top and iPad ? If I am the only one using it ?
really need advise. Appreciate thank you. Why there is no contact people for sales ??
Hello,
Blocs for Mac is a one time purchase, just for use on one Mac.
Blocs for iPad is a separate subscription based licence, which can be monthly or a discounted yearly rate.
Hope that helps
that depends on the license
Blocs 6 Standard, Use on x1 Mac.
Blocs 6 Plus, Use on x2 Macs
Hey @Marian,
Welcome to the Blocs community. I’m the creator of Blocs
.
As @BLOCS-Freak mentioned Blocs standard allows activation on a single Mac and Blocs Plus allows activation on two Macs.
As you can already see from the other comments on your question, we also have an incredibly helpful community here too.
So if I get the license for 1 Mac , let say 6 plus , I also have to buy 1 more license for iPad ? Someone said I can get discount for the IPad. one more question is it possible to continue my work on both ? This is confusing I will just go ahead and buy just one license too much head ache.
There should be an explanation about this before purchasing , what if I am just using one account but I want to use my laptop and IPad when I am relaxing on bed.
Please advise. For 6 plus there is actually a phone number for customer service if there’s question ?
thank you have a good night. ![]()
ok I wanna get 6 plus , is it ok to use 1 Mac and 1 pad ??Let me know thank .
Hi @Marian
I’m afraid not. Mac & tablet versions are both separate to own, Mac is a purchase, iPad is monthly charge subscription.
As the users above have posted. - if you buy blocs Mac standard = single Mac
Blocs plus (100% recommended) = 2 x macs
Good luck on your purchase and looking forward to seeing you more in the forum.
I hadn’t noticed Blocs Plus is two machines of the same person! That’s handy, what with me having a new machine ![]()
I would also be happier if @Norm made an option like 1 Mac + 1 iPad available. ![]()
They may use common elements to each other code wise, but are two seperate apps two seperate platforms, just share a common file format to each other and designed to work similar way to each other. I don’t use the iPad version, maybe in the future if I get an iPad that is suitable for it, but I wouldn’t want @Norm to not be generating the income and then be forced to cease operations with Blocs if you see what I mean. Some of us on here experienced this with a different platform we were using for a number of years where exactly that happended, the developer wasn’t generating enough income as the number of users was spread thin and closed shop leaving folk in a sticky situation. Thank goodness Blocs was around. The price of Blocs Pro in itself is very fair indeed, the number of websites I’ve made with it so far has more than compensated an original purchase and a very fair upgrade price. If you see what I’m saying, seriously I don’t want it to sound like I’m being ‘preachy’ but I really wouldn’t want to go through a situation again that I experienced with a number of websites created and onging maintainence on a platform that has ceased to exist. In fact I would go further to say that if @Norm developed a version that was called ‘Business Version’ offered a little more than the standard pro version but was subscription, it would cater for the likes of myseelf and support the standard versions, I would be on board with that to ensure longevity if that situation should ever need to arise. Bootstrap is great, but a modular construction app with visual interface for Bootstrap that Blocs is, is even more awesome. I would highly reccomend Blocs, I have found it does so much than some other systems as a standalone app, without the need to buy tons of extra features and plugins separately, you will love it once you get in to it…
Ok got it. If I use the iPad, how much is the monthly ?
Hi @Marian
Blocs for iPad is available on the iPad App Store as a freemium trial that can be fully unlocked for $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. You can read more about Blocs for iPad here The Ultimate iPad Website Builder - Blocs
Blocs for Mac is available as a one off payment. Blocs for Mac Standard (x1 Mac) and Blocs Plus for Mac (x2 Macs). You can read about each version here. The Ultimate Mac Website Builder - Blocs
My advise would be to download the trial for both Blocs for Mac and Blocs for iPad and see which best suits your workflow. You may opt for one or the other or you may decide to have them both, this would give you the flexibility of moving between your devices and continuing work from one to the other.
I hope this helps!
I don’t use iPad for any Blocs projects, but if I did I would be comfortable paying such a low cost.
