Difference between site loading in Safari and Chrome?

Up until Blocs 4 I had always used Chrome to view our site http://www2.st-john.or.jp/ and it was loading smoothly. However on upgrading to Blocs 4 that isn’t the case. There is a split second between the banners loading on at least two pages. I have tried everything that I could think off to rectify the issue - one unticking parallax, eg. without any success. Now I have just tried viewing in Safari and the site is loading extremely well here. Has anybody else experienced this? Furthermore, would you suggest only using Safari over Chrome all round? Should Japanese characters in the banner headings make a difference to loading?

Thanking you,
Sabina

Looks identical to me in both browsers on Big Sur.

Thank you for verifying.

Both Chrome and Safari are very fast browsers . Chrome is the faster of the two on desktop, while Safari achieves greater speeds on iOS. Thus, this round comes down to resource consumption, where Safari is easily the winner, frequently using as little as half the RAM that Chrome does to achieve the same results.
