Hey all,
I got asked to build a website for a BARF (biologically appropriate raw food) Shop. The owner is asking for a online shop solution where customers can do two things:
-
Order and pay dog treats, that will get send.
-
Order and pay raw food that will be delivered once a week in an area of 35km around the shop.
Is that possible with ecwid? Would I need two separate shops?
And since Ecwid is located in the US and Russia, what about the GDPR for a shop in Germany?
Any help or information much appreciated.
Cheers,
Fynn
Hi @pumpkin.
I’m not a great user of Ecwid, but I have a bit of experience.
I’m pretty sure these 2 things are possible. One shop, but Set them up as 2 different store items. 1 for immediate delivery, 1 for a subscription.
I’d imagine a homepage gdpr would cover all eventualities.
I don’t have any Ecwid accounts I can get into at the moment, but I believe the above is correct. If you get stuck, they have very good help chats and emails.
Thanks @TrevReav. I might just set a simple and free shop up, to get familiar with it, maybe to showcase the client the basics and try to contact Ecwid support. If anyone else has experience with this, especially the GDPR issue, feel free to share
Thank for the answer, @Jerry. That’s very helpful. Can both be done in the same store, so some articles to be send and some to be delivered?
Yeah, done that already. It’s feature limited though, so I can’t try everything I want to before talking to the client. But to know that it can be done, is reassuring already. I might setup a small example shop to show it to him.
Thanks!
