Export Blocs to Github Pages

Hello everyone! I was wondering if it is possible to export a static blocs app website to github pages from within blocs app, or if anyone has solved this by doing it manually?

Just curious! it could also be a nice thing to incorporate into Blocs for the future!

Cheers!

I don’t know specifically about Blocs, but it’s the second time in two days I’ve heard this option of using Github and a quick Google search brought up this page.

I have the same question :stuck_out_tongue:

unfortunately at the moment it didn’t work out for me

what I have done is

1st download GitHub desktop app

2nd create a repository on GitHub

3rd connect local folder with repository

4th export your site from blocs app to GitHub repository folder on your Mac

5th copy & paste blocs site files to GitHub repository folder on your Mac

6th once you open GitHub desktop app it show you the new files and you can push to repository

you cannot use same folder for blocs export and GitHub repository as blocs replace whole folder and gthub cannot locate the folder also you cannot connect the repository to an existing folder which have files in it you can only connect to an empty folder

in few words blocs site export folder and GitHub repository folder cannot be the same

I know it would have been way better to have a simple export without replacing the folder for an easy export and synch

but I am hopeful Blocs creators will introduce a work around this

cheers
