Flip transition effect in carousel

The new carousel features look really promising!
For me, the most sought-after transition effect (for a website I need to create this march) for a carousel would be a flip. Would be awesome, if you could implement this before the public release. :slight_smile:

Do you have a link to an example for the type of flip effect you are thinking? Given there are a multitude of possible flip effects, but maybe if you show what you hope to have it could then get added.

Well, Archetypon has some nice transitions implemented into his Swiper bric, amongst others a smooth flip effect. https://archetypon.net/preview/brics/swiper-3/
But it’s not that important how it looks exactly. What’s important is, that it doesn’t cut of anything on any side of the image (this is really annoying with Swiper), as this becomes very unpredictable across different screen sizes. The ratio and visible content of the image should always stay the same.
Would be nice if you could add the flip effect!

Btw, my favourite effect in Swiper is the cube, this allows for lots of images/information to be displayed in a small amount of space without looking crowded.
Second is the “Cover Flow” effect, this greatly increases the likelihood of visitors clicking on the gallery on desktop, as it delivers a preview right and left of the next/previous image. I wish this was the case on mobile too!!

With coverflow the idea is to have something hanging off the sides to leave the user to centre the image for full display, I like how it works. 3 full images will mean a smaller centre image.

I have used swiper3 a few times now and works well.

I am desperate to see Splide introduced into Blocs and a few developers said they were going to do it and one event said they were nearly finished….but nothing happened, but understand its quite a detailed bric which will take some time to perfect. LINK

Not sure if @Norm can bring this into Blocs natively - that will be out of this world !!! but seeing the new carousel with text options coming, it will be great to see the power of that with options in the side bar !
