After watch what occurred in Pete’s area, frankly, I am very concerned for you guys. This thing may become a Cat 5 and it does look like it may be on a course for a direct hit on your island.
I would batten down the hatches and prepare for the worst. Buy bottled water, gasoline if you have a generator, easy food to prepare, something that does not need refrigeration.

Wow. What’s interesting is the parallel weather issues we have both had. They had storms with high rain fall like we had the other week too. The amount of flooding before the cyclone made it way worse.
I’m grateful how we came out of it. Some towns have been completely destroyed.
God’s designs are marvelous and yet terrifying. Over the waters there are storms brewing, but when over land the raging storm weakens. Mercies all around.
Prayers of preservation, comfort & provision for those affected these devastating conditions.

I want to share that Jerry has been a tremendous help to me and others in this forum.
I can’t begin to tell you how much Jerry has stepped up to help me with some of the mess I have created via Blocs. 
I share the hope that Jerry and the people close to him, as well as the general population in Mauritius, get through this upcoming storm with a minimal amount of pain!!
We are all pulling for you Jerry!!

Hi @Jerry just read about this - hope you and everyone including my family are safe on this stunning island.
With the water that warm, the storm won’t weaken as it tracked west. Looks like a close pass to you Jerry, fortunately, a compact system.
