Hello, I’m new to blocs, but I’m no web novice. I have many years of experience with RW/Stacks, Foundry3, and Elementor, and now I want/need to reorient myself and am looking forward to a new forum
Elementor remains a must for some customers, but for ease of use on the web, I need something intuitive. So now I’m using Blocs 6.3.3 and am working on a project for a vacation home provider with an integrated booking system via iframe.
I bought the HotelTemplate, watched a lot of videos beforehand, and am now reasonably clear on how it works, even if I’m not quite up to speed yet! What I didn’t understand at all, for example, is whether the underlying 12-column background grid can be changed in the spaces between columns… And yes, I understand that there is a DivContainer that can be changed with the “grid-style” classes, but I’m concerned about the spacing between them…!?
Then I realized that working with responsive text or columns requires a lot of attention. In any case, it’s more complex than it was in Foundry3 with “Blacksmith.”
I then bought the “Textbloc” Bric extension, but it doesn’t correspond to the breakpoints very intuitively either.
In any case, I still have a lot of work ahead of me, but maybe someone can give me an answer to the GridGap question.
Thanks
Welcome to Blocs @RogerSunbeam - I too was a RW/Stacks user and looked at Foundry but found my place in Blocs and never looked back.
You will find everything here all under the hood as to say ! I am not jus saying this but once you get the basics you will kick yourself for all the years and money spent on Stacks etc !
I have done a little in Elementor (free) as I had clients who wanted me to use WP and my head just came back to Blocs each time and I will never ever go anywhere else and If I do need to do any Wordpress sites I will build them in Blocs.
Really looking forward to seeing your work and please shout if you need more help.
Here is a post I did a bit ago, it may help you for gaps with columns. I came from Stacks and Foundry. Foundry did it slightly differently. Welcome to Blocs it’s great.
