Thanks for all the help I’ve had as I get my first Blocs site in place. It is been a steep learning curve. It’s almost finished, and I need to get proofed and approved by the client. I need to put it online so they can look at it but I don’t want it crawled or people to see it that I don’t want to see it.

Any advice on how to do this?

Many of us will use domains, or subdomains for clients to review work during development. Subdomains can be easier than nested folders when it comes to testing and URLs. And you can always password restrict a domain with your hosting if needed.

If you’re starting to make commercial websites, spend some time putting together a process. It will save you time in the long run.

And then there’s still the robots.txt file which you can use to disallow search engines from crawling your site. There’s no guarantee though, that all search engines will abide to the robots.txt.
