Do you mean Meta (Facebook) Pixel?

If so, follow their documentation then paste the code given using either the analytics fields in project settings or the header using the code editor.

Don’t forget you also need to setup a clear method for people to know about and to opt out of being tracked with pixel.

Sorry to dig this post out from the archives! but much better than starting a new one!

I have been asked add a “Facebook Pixel tracking code “ into their website I have live.

I am guessing this as suggested into the Analytics field, under the google Analytics code I have.

I have some questions on using this Facebook code:

  1. This shouldn’t have any effect on the google code?
  2. Pete has mentioned a clear method for people to opt out of being tracked with pixel. I have looked into this and trying to find the simplest way of doing this. Its purely UK based and my client has not asked for people to Opt out, but I do think its the right way for them to be able too.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You can use GTM or something like Cloudflare Zaraz for consent management. I am adopting Cloudflare Zaraz in my sites, since I already use Cloudflare… which is great when it’s not bringing down the internet :laughing:
