How to set simple paragraph indent

Hi all

First website so very new.

Every writing program has a way to set a standard paragraph indent. Does Blocs (not Plus) have any way to do this besides tapping in the spaces?

Thanks

Hi @Mike1

You will find an indent option in the class editor under the typography tab.

Thanks! Now I’m trying to figure out how to make a long dash.

Option + Shift + dash = em dash. I usually just do – .
Thanks again for your help.

You can also just do 2x hyphens, once you press space, it will be a long dash

If you are attempting to make bullet points, use the list bric.

I knew about the – (I only placed one - in my previous post by accident). But when I paste text into a Bloc in RTF format, the double – does not automatically become an em dash. In any case, resolved.

The paragraph issue remains now that I’ve had a chance to think. I write long posts, sometimes 2,000 words, hence many paras. I create paragraphs with line breaks within a Bloc rather than making a new Bloc for every paragraph. So the indent problem remains.

Can I set up the Tab key to force an indent?

I like Blocs and appreciate this forum. If necessary, I’ll just tap in the indents, not a deal breaker.

Why are you using RTF? Use plaintext then style in Blocs. Also it is better to use a paragraph bric for each paragraph rather than line breaks.

OK. Thanks
