I’m currently still using Blocs 4.55 and when I go into the preferences, it only shows “Upgrade to Blocs 5” Is there a way around this so I don’t have to first upgrade to Blocs 5. Thanks in advance.

Basically the following from that thread – to avoid any confusion since the sale is over.
So the full prices are your options with no upgrade path from Blocs v4, upgrades are only provided for one version back so that would be Blocs v5.

From what I can surmise from all this is… I would have to purchase an entirely new Blocs 6 Standard for $115.49 (USD) I presume, as if I hadn’t ever been a Blocs user at all. So no upgrade path to Blocs 6 for people who are on Blocs 4 or earlier other than just buying the program at full price. Am I correct in all of this?

I believe this is correct - but @Norm or @Helen can advise if different.
A discounted upgrade price normally works for all software if you have the previous release as a courtesy of on going support.
You just missed on the Black Friday and cyber Monday deals. But I can tell you now its 100% worth it.

You should have received various emails for the BF& CM Sale at a discount for the full price?
But yes, unfortunately its only one version back for upgrades, not increased prices for incremental upgrades for each version back (which would be nice). I understand what you’re saying and the perceived frustration as a user. I guess this is to encourage people moving along with the # version releases and help revenue streams for development.

Thanks for the information, much appreciated. I did miss those Black Friday deals and the onus is on me. Oops, maybe next year. I think I can get along with Blocs 4 for now.

You can always download the Blocs 6 trial and look around.
Q. How long does the Blocs trial last?
A. The Blocs trial is indefinite, however, it is limited in various ways. All app limitations are displayed at startup when Blocs runs in trial mode.
In Blocs 6 you will see all the additions for Blocs 5 (complete) and Blocs 6 (so far), maybe something will compel you to see the value in upgrading, even at full price.
