I am building a family History site. Do I need a SSL certificate ?
Is it just for you and your own family or for others? As a general rule I would say it is always better to have an SSL certificate and most web hosts supply them free of charge with a one click install these days. Every site I have built in the last 5 years has been SSL and I do it as standard. In some cases it is a legal requirement.
