I have been looking to simplify the menu on my site, but the more I try the more links appear. Basicly I can’t get the old links to delete despite deleteing the old menus and buliding a new one. I have also unticked the box “use in primary menu” on all pages but the pages are still on the menu and duplicated in some cases. Links to the competition pages is there four times now

When you select the Menu list, what the source is set to? It can be ‘None’ or it can be Primary Menu. In any case, open the Menu Manager and see what you have there.
Thanks Eldar. In the end it was the menu on the home page that was causing all the problems. I eventualy gave up tring to fix it and redid the home page from scratch and although not as pretty as my orginal home page it works. Simple works.
