Missing bloc (!)

What would cause a bloc to vanish from the layer tree?

I see it on the page, both in the software and when the site publishes, but I can’t see it on the layer tree. It’s a bloc with a contact form that I standardized for a bunch of pages, so it might have the same name and #ID on all those pages. I could tell you if I could see it…

Same ID on multiple pages will not an issue. But same ID on the same page will be an issue.

There was an issue back in v3 of Blocs, perhaps similar has re-surfaced in the app? Resurfacing bugs have happened from time to time throughout the years and Blocs versions. https://forum.blocsapp.com/t/my-blocs-went-missing-on-the-tree-panel/5415

Otherwise, since there has been no response here, you can always send the project directly to Blocs Support HQ to get resolved. With Blocs Standard you have “Basic Email Support” and with Blocs Plus you have “Priority Email Support”.

Hey @Samsdad,

This issue is typically caused by a mutation in the way text formatting is applied to Text Brics, it can be triggered when pasting in text and stray hidden characters make there way in.

I’m currently working on Blocs for Mac 6.2.3, which includes an improved version of the logic that powers the layer tree, which should prevent this type of issue in the future. I’m hoping to begin testing that version in early August, as it will also include various improvements and fixes for MacOS Tahoe.

In the meantime, if you want to send me a copy of your file I can probably manually fix it for you.
