Moving Assets to another project

Hi everyone:

I spent some time searching this forum for an answer…could not find one.
Simple question, as I program version 2 of a site, I continue to update version 1.
As I update version one, I add assets to it…so was wondering if there is a way to take all of the assets from version 1 site and copy them over to version 2 site?
I release that hosting these is one solution, but that is not what I want to do.

The question: Is there any way to bulk move assets from one Blocs project to another?

Thanks

Rich

What not save a copy of the original site as version 2, then update each version separately from there? That way each one starts with the shared assets, whether local or hosted remotely.

Hi Jerry:

Not familiar with the “Template Library?”
I will have to look into that.

Thanks

Trying to do that, but would be easier to just move the assets from Version 1, at some cut over point in time, to version 2 site.

How are the assets currently stored? It should be easy to simply load them in the asset manager of Blocs. My thought was simply that working from a copy of the original site would allow you to begin with as much material as possible for a starting point.

…and that was how I started…but since my site is updated twice a day for weather, I am continually adding assets, and deleting others.

If you are making updates regularly on both sites I wonder if Repository would work for you? Repository Manager

Tagging @Jannis. Can two websites share assets?

yeah, I was looking at that.
Might be an option.
If Bocs stored your assets in a folder, by project, instead of squirreling them away in an obscure location, all of this would not be necessary.

I like the asset manager, but (I have mentioned this before) I wish I could point the AM to folders.

It’s up to you where Blocs stores your assets. Just create a folder called Resources or Assets and place all project related files in there. If the assets are stored remotely on the server just bulk import.

Got it!

Sure. Like an own CDN.
