I tried now three different approaches for my fullscreen menu and neither of them works as expected. The last two ones are buttons to link to its page or a menu from “navigation” brick.
I will have a look anyway but for this I only wanted the links to “work”. Although I set them to link to a specific page the links do not work. It also does not chenge the mouse pointer to a “hand” in order to show, that it is a link.
I used and changed the “minimalist” off canvas menu.
Are you talking about the Offcanvas mega menus? If that’s the case, these are not using the regular Menu Manager. What’s the number of the Navigation section you are trying to edit? I will explain in detail how you can do that.
As you may see, I set the menu items to the pages I already have - there will be some more pages - why do the “interactions” panel not work here?
Is it any better to use either buttons or menu items? Because my first approach was to use simply text and link it, which also didn’t work, that’s why I tried it with buttons - failed and then tried menu itself.
Ah right, sorry I get what you are saying now. The nav-toggle is from using the menu manager. Its at the bottom right in the icons. If you use a navigation bloc, they will automatically add this in for you, then i just edit it to my liking. Thats what the video is showing when you click nav-toggle, then you can just change it to be full screen and in the menu manager, select which pages each menu item opens. I’ve always done it that way, but there’s a few ways to do nav.
Please watch the video I posted last week to see how to easily customize the links.
In summary, select the OFFCANVAS row in the sidebar, and temporarily remove the .offcanvas class from it, edit the links, and then add it back.
But still the question - why does my navigation not work as intended and expected?
As on screenshots, I have set the link from the menu button/menu item to a page and either in preview or preview in browser it does not link to that page(s).
Looks like there is some issue with the forum today, it is also acting strange on my side.
Regarding the menu, it is working as expected. As I mentioned, you are using the custom made Offcanvas mega menu, this is not a regular Blocs app menu. To edit the links, you should follow a simple instructions I have posted above.
Sorry, we seem to be giving different answers. I was just giving the basic way I build a menu, and in reference to the videos i posted. There’s a few different ways to build. Not surer why the links you have created were not working. Eldar is more of an expert than myself, so i would just go down the root of what he is telling you and his method is probably better. Especially if you have the minimalist library.
did you watch my issue? It is, that my links do not work. I have a link set from the menu button to the page “STEINMETZARBEITEN” and have set the link in the " interactions " to that page which I created. That link does not lead to that page - no link leads to its page. It has nothing to do with the video.
In that tutorial nothing is told about creating links.
However if I start with a new blank page (minimalist of course) and use the same navigation (4)(now I know what you meant with : which number) and create two pages and link to them it works.
I simply do not get it, why my menu buttons do not do its job.
Also if I use your menu 4 as it is and link from there to its pages it works. It is just the styling which I wanted to change and was not able to do as intended, deleted your menu items and created new ones which then lead to my issue - anyway, why I cannot link with my own buttons is not clear to me - anyway I will find a way to stylize “your” menu to my needs I hope.
I believe it has everything to do with the video, because you are not supposed to change the links in the Navbar bric. The links are just text links in this mega menu.
In any case, I think the best way to help you will be for me to take a look at your project file. Could you please send it to me to support@blocsmaster.com
Well, I already changed it to the one with “your” default navbar 4 so … .
But I will try to reproduce “my” issue and see, if it helps me to understand.
I started with Adobe Muse like I do here and finally I got an so called ACP for several years … .
Anyway thnaks for getting back and for your patience,
Uwe
