We’ve just released TypeWriting, a new Blocs Bric that adds professional-grade text animations to your hero sections and headings without writing any code.
It is built for users who want more than basic fade-ins but don’t want to deal with custom code or heavy scripts. You get three distinct animation modes, all controlled directly through the Blocs sidebar.
Three Animation Modes
- Typewriter — Classic typing effect with a blinking cursor. You can enable Speed Variance so the typing feels more natural and human-like instead of robotic. Includes full control over typing speed, delete speed, and pause before delete.
- Reveal — Elegant entrance animations. Split text by Characters, Words, or Lines. Choose from six animation styles (Fade Up, Fade In, Clip Bottom, Slide Left, Scale Up, Rotate In) and five easing options. Control Stagger for beautiful cascade effects.
- Scramble — Modern/futuristic effect where text morphs through random characters until it resolves. Choose from Uppercase, Lowercase, or Symbols character sets. Great for tech brands or bold statements.
Deep Customization Options
TypeWriting goes quite deep with settings:
- Up to 5 rotating strings + static Before Text and After Text
- Hide Placeholder Text option so only your sidebar strings appear
- Trigger options: On Load or On Scroll (very useful for content further down the page)
- One Shot mode (plays once and stops) or Loop Count control
- Full Timing controls: Start Delay, Pause Between Strings, Duration, and more
- Cursor customization (Pipe, Underscore, Block, or None) with colour, blink speed, blink style, and smart Cursor Position (Auto / Inside / Outside)
- Background Colour + Background Radius to create highlight “pill” effects
- Text Box Trim (None / Tight / Balanced) for perfect vertical alignment — especially useful when using a different Animated Font
- Support for any font loaded in your project via Font Manager
- Per-breakpoint Alignment settings
- Height Mode (Auto or Fixed) with custom height value to prevent layout shift when strings change length
- Unique ID for each instance (with Copy ID button) if you want to target it with custom CSS
